You can feel comfortable with us no matter what you are or think you
are.
To avoid any misconceptions as to what we offer and what you can expect, we are including some real questions and answers that have been asked of us. These FAQ's represent the bulk of questions most commonly asked and certainly do not include all the questions that come up. We have elaborated on the answers for greater clarity, but the wording of the questions is exact. Reading these might save us a bunch a time, and help you determine if what we do is for you.
To get the best treatment
, ask questions if there is anything you do not understand or is not covered here. Specify your likes & dislikes prior to beginning the Massage Session. You should not eat for one hour prior to the massage nor consume alcohol prior to you Session. We would also ask that you leave your "attitude" at home or turn it off while you are in our Studio. We would ask that you leave your jewelry at home or take it off prior to the Session so that is does not interfere with the Massage and that we do not get oil on it. Our studio is a no fragrance zone, both artificial (it is best to avoid wearing heavy colognes) and natural (an unwashed body) fragrances. Please keep the smells to a minimum.
registration
Q: Are you registered
Massage Therapists?
Yes, we are both registered massage therapists in the State of Texas.
Our Registrations are on display in our Studio. There are people claiming to be registered
and offering Massage, that are not registered, we know, because we have talked
to several of them. We have our Registration Certificates on display in
our Studio. Being Registered means that you know the anatomy (structure)
of the body and the physiology (functions) of the body and understand how it
all works. This is very important in order to make a massage beneficial
to the recipient. Beyond that it is also necessary to know anatomy and
physiology so that the Therapist
does not do any harm to the client. People who receive a Massage from anyone
who is not knowledgeable are putting themselves at risk of
injury.
We each have had 350 hours of training and have taken and passed the State
exam.

Q: Do I need to make an
appointment?
Yes, you must make an appointment. We do not take walk-ins. We take
appointment 7 days a week beginning at 11:30 am, every
hour and a half, the last appointment beginning at 8:30 pm. Appointments are booked
every hour and a half so that we can offer both 60 minute Sessions and 90 minute
Sessions. If you make an appointment, it is important that you try to be
on time. You will have a 90 minute "time slot" for your
Session. So if
you have booked a 90 minute Session and if you are late you may not get the entire
hour and a half. We do not go beyond the 90 minute
"time slot" if
we have a Session scheduled after yours. If there is no appointment
following yours, you will get the entire 60 or 90 minutes.

page
Q: Do you take early
morning (before 11:30 am) appointments?
Yes, however only Estevan is available before
11:30am and prior notice is always
required
(you must make the appointment the day before.

return to top of
page
Q: How far in advance should I book?
Please
try to plan ahead- 24 hours if possible- to guarantee the
appointment you desire. The best way to reach us is by web
page in the section marked "appointments"
or by phone at 713 802 0439. We generally do not answer the phone after
10:30pm unless we are taking late appointment that evening or before 9:00am. If
you need to call before 9:00 am please leave a message and we will return your
call or email.
We are delighted that our regular Client base is growing as people discover us and discover that we
are very good Massage Therapists. Many of you are coming to us on a regular
basis. Also many Clients are now booking appointments
days in advance. This makes it more difficult for you guys that wait until the last minute to call for
an instant appointment. These guys might just be out of luck half of the time.

Same day appointments may also be
available, but your choice of time, or Therapist may already be taken. Those
of you who plan ahead are almost guaranteed of desired date, time, and Therapist.
If we have openings when you call, we will gladly make last minute
appointments; however, afternoon appointments, especially 4:00pm,
5:30pm & 7:00pm are the most popular times of
the day and they tend to go first. So if you plan ahead by a day or two you
are much more likely to get the time slot that you want.
Q: What happens if I am
late?
If you are going to be late for your appointment, it is very important that you
call us and let us know. We WILL NOT
GUARANTEE that we will hold your
appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late and do not call us to
inform us of your
running late. We will try our best to work with you if you call and inform us of your
running late.
Q: What happens if I
don't show up for my appointment?
If you make an
appointment and do not show for that appointment without calling to cancel, do
not expect for us to take your appointment again. There is no excuse for not
calling to cancel, unless you are hit by a bus! You would be angry with us if we
did not show for your massage!
Q: I just decided I
need a massage, why can I not get an appointment right now?
As of now, we offer 54 massage appointments per week. However we can only work
on one person at a time. If you cannot get
an appointment, it is because you have not thought ahead, we never
have all 54 openings filled. For those of you who wait
until 30 minutes before the time you want for an appointment, you have a 50-50
chance of getting the desired time. The early
bird gets the worm every time !!

Q: Is it proper to tip?
A: Many people do tip their Therapist,
just as you would tip your waiter. It is entirely up to you to make the decision
as to tip or not to
tip and the amount of any tip is up to you. We always appreciate tips.
Q: What
is the customary tip for a massage therapist or spa treatment?
A: Tipping is customary, a normal tip for a
spa service ranges from 15%-20% and is
based on how well you enjoyed the experience.
The normally tipping range falls
between $10 and $30 for a massage session, but your decision to tip and how much is personal, and entirely up to you.
Tips are always welcomed and appreciated.
Q: Do you give discounts?
A: Yes, we offer a variety of discount rates. We offer student and active military discounts

outcalls
Q: Do you do outcalls?
A: No, we are sorry, but we do not do Massage Sessions anyplace else other than our
Studio.
Q: I am from out of town and have no transportation to get to your Studio so can
you come to my hotel?
A: No, we are sorry, but we
do not do outcalls, we only work from our Studio. Taxi is the best way if you
are without a car.
Q: Can I bring my partner, friend, or relative, and you do us both at the same
time?
A: Yes. We have two tables and there are two therapist in our Studio and we can accommodate
two at time.
what to
expect
Q: What can I expect to
happen in a Massage Session?
A: This is a strictly Professional full Body Massage; You may place limits
or restrictions, if you desire, on what parts you want
excluded. Some may
have problem areas to avoid or tickle issues, etc. All of
our Massages are performed with expert professional care. They are
therapeutic, relaxing, Professional Massage Sessions, and you should not think
that a Session will ever be anything other than a Professional Massage.
We do offer several options of types of Massage
Sessions available, including Swedish or Classic European, PNF
Stretch Sessions, Tandem or 4 hand
Sessions, Hand and Foot reflex Sessions, as well as other Spa Treatments
including hot wax, salt glow exfoliation
and dry scrub exfoliation Sessions. Some of the services may be mixed in a
single Session. Call for more details.
Q:
I've got a cold, will a massage be a
good thing for me?
A: No, in
fact if you even think you have a cold, please wait to make an appointment.
Respect our health and the health of our other clients and wait at least ONE
WEEK after your last symptoms disappear. If you feel ill before an appointment,
just call us and cancel (but please try to make sure you do it before 10PM the
night before if at all possible). We will understand, and appreciate it. Oh, and
try ZICAM NASAL COLD REMEDY...It
really works!
Q: Can I expect to receive the
full time I asked for ?
A: Yes, if you book an hour session you
will receive a full hour of massage. We know that there are some other Therapist
the charge for an hour and only give you 45 minutes or less and we believe that
is wrong. If you pay for an hour, you will get a full hour of massage from us. Just keep
in mind though, that we may have other massage appointments scheduled, so if you are
extremely late, and we have another session scheduled, your session will not be
extended into the next appointment's time. To get the full time you schedule you
should be on time.
Q:
I’ve been in a
car accident and my neck and back are really sore. Should I get a massage?
A: Anytime you’re involved in a
serious accident of any sort, you should first check with your doctor if
you’re planning on getting a massage.
Massage cannot cure injuries, but it can be an excellent way to help treat pain
from auto accidents, but you should be thoroughly checked to ensure that
you
have no herniated discs or skeletal injuries before a massage therapist works on
you. Also, make sure you explain your pain and injuries to your masseur
before he begins to work on you, and tell him if you feel pain or discomfort
during the massage.
Q: I’m
diabetic. Is it okay to book a massage?
A: Advanced diabetes can cause a decrease
in circulation to the extremities. Massage can help revitalize circulation. It
can also directly affect blood sugar
levels, which can be both good and bad. Consult your doctor before booking a
massage, and make sure your therapist knows you’re diabetic. Is there a
bad
time to book a massage?
You shouldn’t book a massage when you’re sick. Massage causes a release of
toxins from the muscles into the bloodstream, and if your immune system is
already under attack from sickness, this can make you feel worse. If you’ve
just had a major operation, ask your doctor before booking a massage.
Likewise,
if your immune system is compromised due to medication or disease (like diabetes
or HIV) you should also consult your doctor before booking a massage.
Q: Is it ok for a person to make pleasurable noises
while being massaged ?
A: We do not censor our clients as far as
what sounds they may make. It is not unusual for a client to groan or make
sounds while being worked on by us.
Q: Does the massage therapist talk during the massage
or is there just silence ?
A: We do not talk during the massage
session. There will be relaxing music during the session. We feel that talking
detracts from the intended relaxation of a massage and it distracts us the
Therapist from our concentration on performing a good massage.

Q: Are you guys discrete?
A: Yes, of course we are
discrete, why would we be anything other than discrete.
There is an unspoken confidentiality between Therapist and Client.
client consultations
Q: Is there a consultation prior to my massage?
A: Yes, we do require
all clients, on their first visit, to complete a very brief form that is information about
your recent illnesses, injuries, and a brief medical history. The information is
confidential for our eyes only. This is for YOUR protection and
for OUR protection,
and
it is required of all Registered Massage
Therapists by the State of Texas. Yes, we
are aware that many other Therapist do not do this, but THEY are
violating the law.
At
this time we will have a brief consultation with you about the session and the
work to be done on you. This consultation is only on the first visit and
takes about 2 minutes of your time. If you come for your appointment, and do
not complete the form or refuse to complete the form, we will NOT be able to provide you your massage.
Consultation Documentation required by the State:
Therapists in the State of Texas are required by law to
provide an initial consultation to each client prior to the first massage
session and obtain the signature of the client on a consultation document.
This
document must include:
Q: What can you do for a bad back?
A:
We do not specifically claim to cure anything although, many times, some
physical symptoms just disappear with one or more sessions. We also will
consult with our clients to discuss problems that might persist, to help
identify the cause and determine a remedy. If we feel that you need help
beyond our level of expertise, or we do not believe we can help you, we
will refer a client to a specialist or therapist that may be better
qualified to meet you specific problem.
![]() |
Q: Do you offer deep tissue
work?
A: That depends on what your concept and definition of "deep tissue"
might be. Our touch is definitely firm to moderately deep and you will know that you have had a massage after you get off of our tables.
However if you are looking for pain, bruises, elbows, and wanting someone to
make you scream, then you should look elsewhere. We don't do any of that
on our tables, but we can refer you to a therapist that will make you
scream. We do have some deep tissue training and as I have said we
definitely have a very firm touch and we do also offer PNF
stretch sessions that work deeper layers of muscle tissue.
Q: Do you beat on me?
A: No, neither of us uses tapotement (hacking, chopping, or beating) in our
Swedish Massage. Some Therapist may do that technique, but we do not. We
use stroking, compression, kneading, friction, and some finger pressure for most
of a Swedish Session. Each of us has our own individual style and techniques and
our individual Massages will be quite different from one others. Neither of us
does a "fluff" Massage, both of us have a firm to very firm
touch. We have heard feedback of some horror stories of what clients have gotten
from some other Massage Therapist, and we are confident that will not be your
experience with either of us.

Q: Do you use oil?
A: Yes, we use an unscented
coconut oil that is good for your skin. We also towel the oil off of you after
the Session. A shower is available for your use if you feel the need to shower.
Shiatsu, and Sports/P N F Stretch Sessions are done without oil, unless they are
done in a combination Session including a Massage. We prefer to use our own coconut oils
because there is no scent and the viscosity is exactly right for Swedish
massage, plus it is good for your skin and will not irritate it. So please do
not bring any special or scented oils or lotions and ask us to use them even
though they may be great, they may not be great for our massage techniques.

Q: Do you use draping
or cover me during the massage?
A: Draping is at the
option of the client. It is not required as long as it is agreeable with the
client and the Therapist. We prefer to not use draping during
a massage. Draping impedes the flow of a good massage, especially our
Tandem/4 hand massage, and also burns your actual massage time, so you get
less actual massage if we are having to deal with draping and undraping body
parts. If the client does requires
cover, it is only a very small towel. We cannot and will not do
the Tandem Massage with underwear remaining on your body. If you have
issues with being unclothed, the Tandem Massage is NOT the Massage
for you. Most of our client prefer to not be covered during their massage.
Q: If you don't drape or
cover me, will I get cold during the massage?
A: Not a chance of getting cold! Our table is heated top and bottom.
We have added a 1500 watt electric heater above the table and the table itself
is covered with an electric heating pad. So you will stay toasty warm top and
bottom during your entire massage.

Q: What do you look like?
A: Anyone who is interested in
maintaining a healthy lifestyle, experiencing new methods of relaxation or
alleviating the stress, aches and pains that are a part of everyday life. The
benefits of therapeutic massage are widely recognized.
Professional massage improves your health and well being by releasing muscle
tension, improving circulation, reducing the effects of stress, and can even
alleviate pain. Massage therapy is often used to compliment chiropractic
treatments, speed recovery from injuries, help problems associated with postural
dysfunction, and in conjunction with activities such as yoga, pilates and weight
training.
A: A brief consultation will help
determine the type of massage therapy required to meet your particular needs.
Whether you prefer one specific style of massage or a combination of different
treatments, personalizing each session is an important part of attaining the
best massage possible.
You can choose to relax with a basic Swedish massage or try a more invigorating
experience like an exfoliation spa treatment. Some people prefer a much more
specific focus certain areas of your body. One day you may find that you will
want to experiment with a new massage style or spa treatment, while another day
you will simply select your favorites and enjoy.
Q: Why do I get thirsty after
a massage?
A: A good Massage is draining the
interstitial fluids from your muscle tissue into your lymphatic system which
ends up in your kidneys, bladder and ultimately down the toilet. Toxins are being removed from your
tissue during a Massage and are in the fluids that end up in your kidneys and
bladder . It is
important to drink plenty of water after a Massage to flush your kidney of the
toxins that have been removed from your muscle tissue.
A: Some clients may experience certain aftereffects following a Massage and you
should be aware and that this is no cause for alarm. Usually the effects are
felt following the first or second Massage, or if you do not get frequent
Massages. Some people may feel a slight headache, upset stomach, and nausea, or
the feeling they get with the onset of a cold. There may also be some soreness
if concentrated work is done on specific areas and muscles. Such reactions are
due to an increase in metabolic waste materials in the circulatory system. The
particular symptoms the client experiences depends on the organs that are being
overtaxed. The intensity of the massage movements should be limited on a first
Massage or if you received infrequent Massages until the you have built up more
tolerance. These symptoms should be short lived and drinking plenty of water
following a massage is always strongly advised to flush the toxins released from
your muscles out of your system as quickly as possible and keep them from being
reabsorbed by the muscle tissues.

Q: What is a Tandem or 4
hand Massage?
A: The
most frequent question asked is what is a 4 hand or
Tandem Massage. More
than a massage, tandem massage is an experience. Four hands massage your body,
sometimes in unison, sometimes apart. The nervous system stops tracking the
motion and settles into profound, deep relaxation and peace.
Basically it is a Swedish Massage or Classic European full-body
Massage performed by 2
Massage Therapists
working together doubling the amount of muscle being massaged.
Jeff and Estevan have developed a UNIQUE Tandem or 4 handed Massage
technique that is very invigorating. Our Tandem Session is a well
coordinated performance designed to double your massage pleasure yet not be
stimulus overload.
Much of the Massage is in
synchronized movement, however not all of the Session is in sync. .
. . .
The feet, the back, and the head,
face, and scalp are areas that are not Massaged in Tandem. These
areas are done separately by one Therapist, while another area is being massaged by the
other Therapist at the same time. For example
your feet would be massaged at the same time that your back is being
massaged. Your arms, legs, glutes, and hands are massaged by both
Therapists, one Therapist on each leg, glute, arm, and hand at the same time.
It is very difficult to explain the experience and sensation of a Tandem
or 4 hand Massage, without actually experiencing a Session for yourself.
We
prefer to perform our Tandem or 4 handed Sessions without draping. The
flow of the Massage is compromised and cannot be easily maintained with
the obstructions of draping. The
Tandem massage does not work if we the Masseurs must deal with draping.
If the client does requires
cover, it is only a very small (15"
x 24") towel. We cannot and will not do
the Tandem Massage with underwear or
other items of clothing
remaining on. If you have
issues with being unclothed, this is NOT the Massage
for you.
A: Like losing yourself. Like letting go.
Like the ultimate pampering. Decadent.
A: Although a tandem massage often feels
sensual, we do not provide escort services or sexual services. Arousal is a
natural part of being touched and nothing to be ashamed of. We encourage you to
fully let go and enjoy whatever you are experiencing.
A: It is easiest for us to work on your
body without
a drape. However, we can definitely work with a drape if you would like. You
should feel completely comfortable.
your
first massage
Our Tandem Massage is not the appropriate Session for specific
isolated bodywork.
If you need certain areas of your body worked more than others, it is
better to get a Massage from either
Jeff or Estevan
individually. A
solo Massage can easily be adjusted and modified to meet your specific needs
unlike the Tandem Massage.
Our Tandem Session is a well coordinated
performance routine that we DO NOT vary from to concentrate on
specific body parts
requiring special attention.
The only way to know what it is all about

is to experience a Tandem Massage for
yourself ! !
Q: How did you guys learn 4 Handed Massage?
Our Tandem Session is our very own creation and development, and definitely unlike
any session offered by other Therapists.
We trained at the same Massage School and were taught by the same teachers, we
partnered during Massage Training, and have partnered through out our
practice, and we have performed literally hundreds
of Tandem Sessions. This level of experience gives Jeff and Estevan the
credentials to qualify as the best of the best in the Tandem Massage
field. Others Therapists may offer a Tandem Sessions, but just
having 4 hands massage your body does not necessarily make for a great
Massage experience.
Unless the two Therapist know each others Massage style intimately and have
performed Tandem Sessions many times as a team, you may
get a less than pleasant massage experience. A truly good Tandem
Session is carefully coordinated, not just massage chaos!
Q:
What if I get a Tandem Massage the first time and then I just want a solo or 2
hand Session thereafter?
Many
of our clients start with a Tandem Session and then
choose to come back to either Jeff or Estevan on a regular basis. Some of our clients even
alternate between Jeff and Estevan for the variety of Touch that this will
afford. Jeff and Estevan each have their own unique style of Massage.
Their individual styles are different from each others and also from the Tandem
Massage Sessions which is a collaboration and combination of their
individual techniques.
A: Really now! Is this important to a good Professional Massage?
The physical appearance of the therapist has nothing to do with the quality of
your Massage. We do not ask YOU what you look
like! Besides you will be face down for most of the Session and will not see
anything. However if it is that important to you images of us can be
found here.
